Guardian Shell is hands down THE best support ability in the game. It makes more swarmy commanders (Zagara, Stukov, etc) disgustingly overpowered. Me as Artanis and my buddy as Stukov have completed “Brutal+6” on “Void Thrashing” so many times, thanks to his forces simply not dying for extra 5-7 seconds. I still haven’t seen Artanis made good use of high templars including myself. Maybe DPS is not the right word, but optimal is the right one. Zealots-dragoons best in most situations. Good for early game, mid-game and late game. Generally, better for almost all enemy comps. How fast can u get ur first Templar out to handle first several waves? Im guessing u use zealots and transition to High templars. You may have trouble with air comp early in game too. You can’t use dragoons because you are saving gas for HTs.

And orbital strikes usually is not enough to clean out the early air waves. U will also need to allocate mastery points to energy regeneration rather than warp in speed. High Templars move really slow and losing warp in speed does not help. By the time u arrived at a spawn ur partner may have took out the enemies already. High templar build is good but require higher ramp up time and not optimal early or mid game.Select this mission and, after a cut scene we won't spoil, you have to choose between two sides in completing the mission. Choosing to protect the colony will give you the opportunity for zerg research while purifying the colony will net you protoss research. There may also be some moral dilemma here, but we're immune to that.
